Technical Problems
I am having problems accessing the server via Telnet in the Teradata SQL Web-based Training.
If you cannot reach the server from the Telnet button in the WBT, try this. Go to the Start menu on your PC, click Run..., type telnet 153.65.25.24, and click OK. Or try this link telnet://153.65.25.24. If you see the security screen and login prompt, but cannot login, see My login/password does not work for the Server 153.65.25.24.
If you do not see a security warning and login prompt, this problem is most likely caused by your corporate firewall.
You need to contact your IT department and request port 23 (Telnet port) or port 24 be opened to server 153.65.25.24. Sometimes they can open the port for only this server. Sometimes, the response may be for you to use a proxy server connection to our server; they will need to provide you with this information.
You can probably best achieve this by opening a help desk incident through your IT Department. Please let us know if you have any issues.
If you are a “virtual” employee, you can also access the server by temporarily disconnecting your VPN or by using a home computer.
